Folie got me through the initial news that my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. FOB itself has brought me friends, experiences, and memories that I would not trade for the world. I cried when I finally got to see you all perform live, tears running down my face at the first few notes of “Sugar”. You are appreciated on many levels, sir, as a person and an artist. Please remember this. Believers never die. 

i have way too much i want to say to this, but basically 1) i genuinely had no idea folie was badly reviewed? all i remember reading was that it was their best album and all i remember thinking was how much i loved it, 2) i’ve always, always aspired to write music as well as patrick does, even though i know i’ll never get there, 3) i saw fob live and it was amazing, so lovely and full of heart and 4) just love. love love love.
